The Canada Travel Activity Survey (CanTRAC), conducted in partnership with the Dalhousie University Transportation Collaboratory (DalTRAC) is a voluntary and confidential survey that captures when, where, why, and how residents travel in the Lethbridge area on a typical weekday.

Results from the CanTRAC Survey will help the City make informed transportation investment decisions , as well as guide long-term planning for transportation infrastructure and services, including active and public transportation.


How you can participate
There are different ways to complete the CanTRAC Lethbridge survey:

  • If you receive a postcard in the mail, visit the website provided and enter the ACCESS CODE to proceed to the survey.
  • If you come across the survey on social media, simply follow the link to the survey website, and complete the survey on your phone, computer, or tablet.


How your feedback will be used
The results of this survey will be shared with the project team and published on this site. All responses are compiled and in a way that protects the anonymity of participants, and Dalhousie University has strict requirements to ensure data confidentiality. This is meant to be a safe and respectful space to share your feedback.


Why participate in the survey?

Your participation will:

  • Provide useful information about the travel habits of your community
  • Help evaluate mobility patterns across the region
  • Help inform future investments in transportation infrastructure and services

Upon completion of the survey, you will be eligible to enter to a gift card draw (for one $200 and ten $50 VISA gift cards) from participants in your region.
