2026 City of Lethbridge Design Standards and Specifications Updates

March 2026 Update

Thank-you to everyone who has reviewed and provided feedback on the updates to the Standards and Specification. We have had requests from stakeholders for more time to complete their review and provide comprehensive feedback. As a result we are extending the timeline for providing feedback to the end of March. We will then review the feedback in April and set up a meeting with stakeholders to go over the final changes in May.

2026 City of Lethbridge Design Standards and Specifications Updates

The City of Lethbridge Design Standards are due for a refresh, and we are seeking your feedback! The 2026 version will ensure that the Design Standards are up-to-date with the most recent Municipal Development Plan and other City Master Plans that guide urban construction within the community.

General updates include:

• Re-formatting to current City of Lethbridge branding
• Minor spelling and grammatical changes
• Minor revisions to wording for clarification

All other updates to the Design Standards are captured in the attached redline documents, which can be found in the Documents section of this page. Highlights of proposed significant changes are summarized in this presentation.
