Although the City of Lethbridge is unable to host in-person Community Engagement events at this time, we are happy that we can still connect with you digitally. Over 1,500 participated in the surveys "We Are In This Together" and "Stay Well". Refer to Documents at the right for the survey findings.

The City has completed two community-based surveys to understand the effects of COVID19 in our community. This process provided our team with knowledge of the concerns and challenges present in the community during the response stage of the pandemic. COVID19 has proven to be a complex incident full of learning, and as such, we are requesting the assistance of residents once more to provide awareness for successes and areas for improvement within emergency and social response activities. "Flattening the Feedback" survey has closed and the results can be found in the document library to the right.

As always, you can explore projects that matter to you here at Get Involved Lethbridge.

Please visit City of Lethbridge News Centre for up to date information on COVID19 and its impact on our community.

    02 Jun 2020

In a recent community survey, the City of Lethbridge asked residents if, among the COVID-19 changes, they were ready to provide feedback on City programs and services again. The overwhelming response from residents was, yes!

There were over 1400 participants who completed the “We’re all in this together” survey and the majority of the respondents said they would be ready to start engaging again. Although we can’t host in-person community engagement events at this time, we are happy that we can still connect with residents digitally through the Get Involved Lethbridge website at www.getinvolvedlethbridge.ca. Here you will find many opportunities to interact with the City to provide feedback and share ideas. Check back often to see what’s new.

    June Engagement Opportunities

    • Stay Well Survey (June 1 – 22) – this is a follow-up community survey that will explore the impacts of COVID-19 a bit deeper. It is just eight questions and will take about 5 minutes – quick and simple. https://getinvolvedlethbridge.ca/covid-19
    • 5th Ave N / 13 St Functional Plan Survey (June 1-30) - Planning is underway for the 5 Avenue N and 13 Street corridors as well as the 16 Avenue S connection between 13 Street S and Scenic Drive S. Last spring, we asked the community about issues and opportunities along these corridors and in the fall the community provided feedback on a variety of options, including options for bike boulevards along 6 Avenue N, 12C Street N and 15 Street S. We have taken the information provided and refined options. Once again, we want your feedback! We want to know which options you prefer. Visit: https://getinvolvedlethbridge.ca/5AveN13Str
    • Transportation Safety Plan Survey (June 1-30) – The City of Lethbridge is completing it’s very first Transportation Safety Plan and would like to hear what is important to you. This plan will guide how we can all work together to minimize the risk of motor vehicle injuries and enhance safety for all types of travel. https://getinvolvedlethbridge.ca/transportation-safety-plan
    • 3 Avenue South Beautification (Starting June 22): A lot of exciting things are happing on 3 Ave S. In addition to the Reconstruction Project now underway from 4 to 8 St, the City is also embarking on the 3 Ave Beautification project in July. This plan will rejuvenate this entire 1.6 km corridor from Stafford Drive to Mayor Magrath Drive. 3 Avenue Beautification engagement will begin with a Drawing in Dialogue exercise with stakeholders – kind of dreaming on paper. Those inspirations will be shared with the public providing opportunities to comment and help realize a vision shared by all. 22 Apr 2020

The City of Lethbridge wants to know how COVID19 has impacted households across the city in order to better serve the community moving forward.

An online survey has been launched to seek input from residents across the city to better understand how the pandemic has effected daily life. The survey takes approximately five minutes to complete and asks questions that range from basic household information, how COVID19 has changed use of City services and if behaviours such as working or studying from home have had to be adopted.

The survey is available online at getinvolvedlethbridge.ca/covid-19 and will close on May 6, 2020.

The results will be shared with residents once compiled and will help the City to better understand service satisfaction, needs, priorities and concerns of residents.
