The City of Lethbridge is undertaking a Master Plan project to plan for the next 20 years of the ENMAX Centre. Community feedback will help shape this plan and chart the future for ENMAX Centre. Answer the survey today!

The ENMAX Centre, formerly the Canada Games Sportsplex, opened in September 1974, specifically to host the 1975 Canada Games.

The ENMAX Centre is home to the Western Hockey League’s Lethbridge Hurricanes and also hosts concerts, circuses, bull riding, multicultural events, national curling championships, basketball events, banquets, figure skating competition and more. Famous entertainers like Comedian Jerry Seinfeld have performed to sold-out crowds and mega musician, Elton John graced the ENMAX Centre stage in 2012.

Renovations to the building were finalized in 2012 and included an almost 41,000 square feet expansion. This included the addition of 18 luxury suites, improvements to the concessions and washrooms, a new press box and a restaurant/lounge overlooking the ice. This $33.7-million-dollar project was jointly funded by the City of Lethbridge, the Municipal Sustainability Initiative Grant, and a Major Community Facilities Grant.
