The City of Lethbridge is planning a modernization of London Road Park. The park has faced ongoing concerns from residents about site conditions and unwanted activities. A redesign was explored in 2022 with positive community feedback, but the project was paused due to uncertainty around the neighbouring property at 714 7 Street South.
In 2025, the house on that property was removed and the land re‑graded, improving visibility and appearance. Since the future of the parcel remains undecided, it will not be incorporated into the park at this time.
With the park’s aging landscape and infrastructure reaching the end of its lifecycle, upgrades are now needed. Because the neighbourhood is already well‑served by nearby playgrounds and sports facilities, the modernization will focus on new features that could make this park unique. This will reinvigorate its use and community value, rather than adding traditional play or sport amenities.
We invite you to join us for a community engagement event on March 26, 2026, from 3 - 7 p.m. at The Hut, located in Kinsmen Park at 834 10 Street South. This come-and-go session will include hands-on activities. Parks staff will be available to discuss the project and listen to your feedback.
An online survey is also part of this engagement process. Please take a moment to complete the survey by April 15, 2026.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on the London Road Park Modernization Project. As we plan future upgrades, this survey will help us understand:
how you currently use the park
what you value most about the park
what park improvements would enhance your experience
Please note that while the house on the neighbouring property at 714 7 Street South was recently removed, the future use of that parcel has not yet been determined. As a result, it will not be incorporated into the park as part of this modernization project.
When completing this survey, please ensure that your comments and suggestions relate only to the existing park parcel. Feedback should not include ideas or recommendations involving the 714 7 Street South property, as it is outside the scope of this project at this time.
