Pickleball Court Construction

As part of the City’s current Capital Improvement Program (CIP), project D30 provides funding for six additional pickleball courts to be constructed in Legacy Park in 2022. 

As a cost saving measure, the possibility exists to transform the current tennis courts at Legacy Park into pickleball courts. The Recreation and Culture Master plan identifies that the City has adequate tennis facilities and if more pickleball courts were required, the option to retrofit a tennis court to meet this need should be explored.

The City of Lethbridge recognizes that outcomes are improved by engaging stakeholders and the public. To that end, we are seeking feedback from residents on whether they would be in favour of transforming the Legacy Park tennis courts into pickleball courts.
