The City of Lethbridge is undertaking preliminary engineering work for upgrades to the sidewalk along Stafford Drive, from 3 Avenue North to 1 Avenue South, along with studying potential new pedestrian bridge crossings over Highway 3 and the Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) rail line.

The purpose of these upgrades is to improve safety for pedestrians and cyclists and to make the active mode infrastructure more inviting for all ages and abilities.

The City has engaged AECOM Canada Ltd. to complete this work. It is anticipated the preliminary engineering phase will be finished by the end of 2024.

As part of this work, the City and AECOM will be seeking feedback from adjacent property owners, area stakeholders and the public through two phases of engagement.
