10 Avenue S and 9 Avenue S Functional Plan
The area around the Chinook Regional Hospital and major transportation corridors serving the hospital are beginning to experience redevelopment and increased traffic. A Functional Planning Study will be completed for key corridors serving the hospital area to identify current and future transportation needs based on Area Redevelopment Plans, the Transportation Master Plan, the Cycling Master Plan, and other relevant planning documents. The overarching goal of this project is to provide the framework for more vibrant, functional, safe, and complete streets in the area serving the hospital and nearby neighbourhoods.
The project boundaries include:
- 10 Avenue S from Scenic Drive S to 43 Street S
- 9 Avenue S from 4 Street S to Mayor Magrath Drive S
- 17 Street S from 9 Avenue S to 10 Avenue S
- 19 Street S from 9 Avenue S to 10 Avenue S
