Consultation has concluded

The City of Lethbridge is beginning the process of updating the Bicycle Bylaw. Cycling is evolving and becoming a common form of transportation. To be relevant, the existing Bicycle Bylaw of 1986 needs to be updated to include:

  • Power assist bikes
  • Removal of bike license plate requirement
  • Interaction of bicycles and motor vehicles
  • Bicycle parking update
  • Abandoned bicycle removal process
  • Cycling infrastructure regulations
  • Penalties update
