Lethbridge's River Valley is home to over 114 kilometers of trails and pathways and enjoyed by many user groups. The purpose of the River Valley Trails project is to develop a network of natural singletrack trails which respects natural habitat and provides sanctioned trails for recreation activities. After reviewing stakeholder feedback and consulting with the public the Parks & Cemeteries department completed a draft trail network in 2023. This draft was presented to Civic Works SPC and approved by Council.
Check out the River Valley Trail Network map in the document library to the right, to see how community feedback shaped the revised trail network.
Upcoming Enhancements:
Rollout of trail RVTN wayfinding signage
Completing enhanced connections and safety improvements for key trails around the Lethbridge Country Club property
Closure and reclamation of unsanctioned trails in priority ecological areas
